As previously reported, the Code Geass anime will be present again in a
new project titled Code Geass: Lelouch of The Resurrection (Fukkatsu no
Lelouch).
The project is a compilation trilogy from its animated series. The
three films will appear in the title sequence: Code Geass - Hangyaku no
Lelouch - Kōdō (Lelouch of the Rebellion - The Awakening Path), Code
Geass - Hangyaku no Lelouch - Handō (Lelouch of the Rebellion - The
Rebellion Path), and Code Geass - Hangyaku no Lelouch - Ōdō (Lelouch of the Rebellion - The Imperial Path). The first film is scheduled to start airing in Japan on October 21,
2017, while the second movie is in February 2018, and the third movie in
May 2018.
It is now announced that the compilation movie will be released on February 10, 2018.
The film is planned to recap the 50 episodes of the animated series. In addition, in this film also presented a variety of dialogues
re-recorded by the original seiyuu and the addition of a new scene.
In addition, Sunrise also released 2 spinoffs to be published on Yatate Bunko's official website in the fall. Spinoff
first entitled Code Geass - Hangyaku no Lelouch Gaiden - Shiro no
Kishi, Kurenai no Yasha (Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion - Lancelot
& Guren). The focus of this spinoff will be to tell the story of Suzaku and Kallen that are not shown in the main series. Staff working on the spinoff series include Bisui Takahashi (Shūmatsu
Sekai no Spellbreaker's light novel) as screenwriter, Takahiro Kimura as
a character designer and Astrays in charge of the latest Knightmare
design.
The second Spinoff is titled Code Geass Danshō - Mosaic no Kakera (Story Fragment - Piece of the Mosaic). Spinoff comes with a focus of the story of 6 different characters
whose lives are affected and changed due to events in the main story.
The
story of anime is set in the Japanese state that was then controlled by
the Brittania Empire, this series tells Lelouch vi Brittania (voiced by
Jun Fukuyama) who gained the power of Geass by C.C. (voiced by Yukana) that can be used to hypnotize people and use them to rebel against their own country. On
the other hand, Suzaku Kururugi (voiced by Takahiro Sakurai) also tries
to ignite the same rebels from within the body of the Britannia
military forces.
